“I think every writer needs a group, whether formal or informal, of people whose opinions they trust. You need people who understand what you’re trying to do and can offer suggestions, but who aren’t just going to tell you what you want to hear.” - Margaret Atwood
It’s a Fineline between talking about writing and actually writing. Having a writing group can make that difference.

I’m Iman, a writer, professional copywriter, and editorial assistant at Unfurl Productions. I’ve been helping individual writers improve their craft for over five years through classes (I’ve taken), writing groups, and personal mentorship. I love helping writers feel confident about their writing futures and I’d love to help you!
My work has been featured in The Guardian, Insider, Babe by Hatch, Mania Mag, Bending Genres, PapersPublishing, and NeverApart. Also, I have a writing group (yay, it makes me better) and I will say, all of the pieces that I published this year were workshopped in that group.

We host the Fineline Craft Hour every Wednesday! The sessions are open to all genres, so bring your fiction, nonfiction, poetry, your hybrid works, anything you got! The goal of these sessions is to transcend the usual accountability session structure. Instead of mini lectures and prompts, we’re offering a popcorn feedback model so you can get actionable feedback on your current work. You’ll leave these sessions confident and ready to tackle the next draft of your piece!
Coming up: we’ll be offering craft hours dedicated to the art of critiquing, pitching, literary mags, and more! Let us know what sparks your interest :)

We all know writing is hard. Well, actually writing is the easy part. Editing, getting your work out there, coming back to your desk on your worst days is hard. Having a writing group makes all of that more manageable. Meeting with like-minded people recurrently will help you feel accountable, supported, and capable.
Having a writing group can make the difference between talking about writing and actually writing, the difference between an incomplete piece and a publishable one, the difference between feeling like your work is worthless and knowing your work has value.
So get started today and meet YOUR Writing People, here.
