Learning the Art of Critiquing

If you’re new to critiquing, don’t you worry. After you sign-up, you’ll receive access to the Fineline Membership Page where you can read the Dos and Donts of critiquing and familiarize yourself with the process. Critiquing is something that is learned by doing. The key is to be kind, be clear, and be real whenever delivering feedback.

Getting matched-up

It takes a few weeks for you to get matched-up because we need time to sort through all submitted information and do our best to find optimal matches for you. That’s why we recommend that you include as much information as you can in the “Tell us about you” questions so we can find like-minded people to become your partners in writing.

This is for you if you are (primarily) a nonfiction writer crafting anything from flash pieces and essays to full-length memoirs.

All Things Poetry

This is for you if you are a poet writing anything from traditional poetry to hybrid forms, prose, or even a full-length poetry collection.
